The Ketec shoplifting prevention system is an advanced single panel transceiver operating at 4.6 MHz. Unlike standard RF systems, this system provides a wider aisle width and requires only one antenna for operation. It can detect hard security tags within 5 feet (152.4 cm) on either side of a single panel. When using two panels, you can protect an opening as wide as 20 feet (6.09 m). The major advantage of this system is the lack of synchronization needed between electronics, which simplifies installation and reduces after-sales service needs.

Additionally, the Ketec system is ideal for locations with significant electrical interference and can only be used with hard tags (mini and maxi tags). The mini tag is suitable for lighter items like shirts and skirts, while the maxi tag is perfect for heavier items such as jackets, jeans, and coats. However, this system is not compatible with disposable paper labels due to its lower frequency.
