  • Security Feature:
The self-adhesive pockets are ideal for use with 8.2 MHz or 9.5 MHz security labels. Place the label first, then cover it with the pocket. If a student or patron attempts to remove a book without proper checkout, the security system will sound an alarm as they pass through the library’s security pillars.
  • Library Use:
To check out a book, library personnel insert a date due detuning card into the pocket. This deactivates the security tag and allows the book to leave the library. Upon return, the detuning card is removed, reactivating the tag and ensuring the book is properly secured.

These Self-Adhesive Library Pockets are an essential component for effective library book management and security, providing a durable and secure solution for storing book cards and protecting books.

Product Description

Self Adhesive Library Pocket

The self adhesive library pocket is used in library applications. The pocket hides the 1 1/2″ or 2″ 8.2 or 9.5 MHz security label.  The label goes on first then the book pocket is placed over it.  The books are placed on the shelf that way.  If a student or patron tried to leave the library through the security pillars, they will light up and make an alarm sound.

To check a book out, the library personnel would need to put a date due detuning card in the library pocket.  This would allow the person to leave the library with the book.  When the book is returned, the date due detuning card would be taken out and the book would be returned to its shelf.  Once the card is taken out, the tag is active again.
