The 58 KHz frequency is ideal to use with anything that is metal or metallic.  RF frequency signals are blocked by metal items so Sensormatic uses the 58 KHz frequency so it can be used in department stores that sell a wide variety of items.

DR stands for Dual Resonance.  The DR label has an extra metal strip inside the label that creates more vibration inside the labels.  This helps the security towers at your door pick up the label better.

Sensormatic 58Khz Barcoded DR Label is ideal for boxed and gift items.  These labels are also ideal to put on metal items such as power tools.

The labels are sold 5000 to a case.  The labels are  1-7/8″ x 7/16″.

The labels are slightly raised like a Chicklet candy. These labels are also used in electronic stores, music stores and hardware stores. The Sensormatic 58Khz Barcoded DR Label is a good tag because the dummy barcode on the label is mistaken for a UPC code.
